A monkey is playing pong in Neuralink’s brain-computer interface demo

Elon Musk’s last update Neurallink – The technology his company is working on that will connect the human brain directly to a computer – There is a pig that put a chip in its brain. Now Demonstrating Neurallink’s progress To play pong, Mack shows up with one of the link chips, first using a joystick and then using a wireless connection to finally just use his mind.

We are pleased to announce today the ability of the link to enable the Macape monkey named Pager to move a cursor on a computer screen with neural activity using the 1,024 electrode fully implanted neural recording and data transmission device called NR Link. We replaced the link in the arm and arm of the motor cortex, a part of the brain that is involved in planning and performing movements. We placed the links bilaterally: one in the left motor cortex (which controls the movement of the right side of the body) and the other in the right motor cortex (which controls the left side of the body).
