In front of it On October 2nd, Adobe shared a preview of a feature that was coming Photoshop on iPad, And it’s a big one. You will soon be able to use its camera raw tool to import RAW files from your camera to iPad.
You can use the tool to import the file format that Camera Rao currently supports. That includes ProRAW Files that Apple iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro can output. Once you load an image, you can access all the usual combinations you’ll find in the desktop version of Camera Rover, which lets you change things like your photo exposure and color.
A nifty new feature is that it is possible to import your RAW file as a smart object in Photoshop. This means you can add your picture to a PSD, open the resulting file on the Photoshop desktop, and still have access to embedded files and combinations. Adobe says Camera Rao is coming to Photoshop on the iPad soon. In the meantime, we’ll probably see a preview of more upcoming features for the company’s various apps on Adobe Max later this month.
