Years ago, that’s how I wrote this piece I really wanted the iPhone to accept USB-C And retire its power connector. This was the pro-level feature of the company’s first iPhone Pro models, such as surgical-grade stainless steel and, just after the advent of the three cameras. Fast-forward right after the iPhone 13 series launched, and I still don’t have a USB-C iPhone. Fortunately, there are engineers who like a challenge.

On his YouTube channel, Ken Pilonol, a student at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, made a teaser IPhone X with a USB-C port, Promised a full video after how it was done. In an earlier video, he further explained how he reverse-engineered the Lightning connector, pulling out an integrated circuit from a third-party cable and hooking it up to a USB-C connector. Yes, this is something most of us should not try.

The updated Motorola Edge for 2021 still compromises but quickly adds a 14 Hz display, more compatible fingerprint sensors and better software support, eliminating many of its predecessor’s flaws. If you can forgive the medium camera and its missing wireless charging, there’s a lot more to this phone. For now, the unlocked 256GB model costs $ 600, but in the end it will cost 700. The company has also upgraded its existing lineup.

Tile is building a tracker that uses both Ultra-Wideband (UWB) and Bluetooth and will work on both Android and iOS. UWB devices can transmit instructional and spatial data to compress their position more accurately than just Bluetooth.

The Tile Ultra Tracker’s point and locate feature lets you use augmented reality so that the item can be viewed around and a visual indicator of where the tracker is. Tile is working with Google to refine the feature for Android 12 and UWB-enabled phones. It is set to arrive in early 2022.

Until then, the company has announced new Tile Pros, as well as newer versions of Sticker, Slim and Matte trackers. The Pro is the company’s most powerful tag, with a finding range of 400 feet.

The company plans to start shipping its first hyperbike by the end of 2022.

E-bike maker VanMoof wants to get riders from A to B faster with its first high-speed model. The VanMoof V is the company’s first hyperbike, capable of hitting a top speed of 31MPH (50KMH).

VanMoof is identifying it as a car replacement for city life and long journeys, but since the speed limit for e-bikes varies across cities and counties, e-bikes will have integrated integrated speed settings. Since it makes the VanMoof V, the company plans to work with lawmakers and the government on e-bike rules, including geofencing and speed regulation.
