Alienware didn’t wait long to release it The Aurora gaming desktop has been redesigned. There is the Dell brand Release Both the Intel-powered Aurora R13 (above) and the AMD-based Aurora Ridge version R14 are a processor upgrade, for their expected chassis redesign and R13. The Intel machine now uses 12th-generation Core (aka Alder Lake) processors unlocked from 10-core 3.7GHz Core i5 to 16-core, 3.2GHz Core i9K and i9KF. AMD models continue to use up to 16-core 5950X and including Ryzen 5000-series chips.

The highlight, as you might expect, goes from that distinctive Legend 2.0 chassis. You can expect more than 50 percent internal volume, tool-free entry, more customizable lighting and more widely available clean side panels. This and an overall cleaner layout will help Aurora run even cooler and quieter than its predecessor while still allowing easy upgrades. It probably won’t affect you if you are determined to build your own rig, but it can make life easier if you are willing to buy a pre-built system.

The R13 and Ryzen R14 models start today at D 1,250 for the AMD machine and এর 1,480 for its Intel-equipped counterpart. Upgrade options will be known and will include up to 128GB of RAM, GeForce RTX 3090 or RX 6900 XT graphics and 4TB of total storage (2TB SSD and 2TB spinning disk).

And don’t worry if you’re a creator who likes more exciting cases – Dell has you covered too. There are companies Tease A new XPS desktop (bottom) that retains the previous ‘safe’ design, but in a much larger size (27L vs. 19L) that improves airflow and customization in the toolless chassis. You’ll be satisfied with the ‘only’ 12th-gen Intel Core i5, i7 and i9 processors, but you’ll have the same memory, graphics and storage choices. You can also use liquid cooling if you have fan noise or throttling problems.

The new XPS Tower comes later in the fall starting at 919. As such, it may be a better buy if you are more interested in raw energy than the attention span.
