Amazon Prime members can now use mobile Amazon Shopping App Send gifts to friends using their email address phone number – even if they don’t have a street address. The new feature makes it easier to give, receive and even exchange gifts for gift cards, the company said Announced.
To do this, you just need to browse the “millions of products” available for gift in Amazon’s shopping smartphone app, according to the company. Once you select a product, you can select “Add a gift receipt for easy return” and check out. You can also select a new option “Let the recipient give their address”. To complete the transaction, you simply enter their email address or mobile phone number.
Once sent, recipients receive a gift message via email or text. From there, they can choose to receive gifts and write down the delivery address of their choice. If they are not interested in your choice, they may exchange the item for a gift card and use it to purchase something else without the need to notify the gift giver.
The feature also requires the gift recipient to have an Amazon account, as are many Venmo Or you need to have sender and recipient accounts for PayPal’s mobile cash app. The main advantage of Amazon’s app is that you can still personalize a gift, even if you don’t feel comfortable hitting stores with epidemics. In the United States today (October 4th) the new feature came to Amazon Shopping – if you get a chance to try it, let us know in the comments below.
