AMD plays a great game for gaming laptops with Radion RX 6000M GPU

AMD is finally bringing its RDNA2 technology to notebooks. During its keynote address today, the company announced the Radion RX6000M series of mobile GPUs. We’ve seen most upgrades they bring RX6000 desktop GPU Laptops: Better power efficiency, faster performance and ray tracing support The new lineup will be powered by Radion RX6800M, aimed at high-framerate (120fps) 1,440p gaming. Like the desktop side, it will directly target NVIDIA’s RTX 3080.

Not surprisingly, AMD is also launching the RX 6700M and 6600M models, which will focus on 100fps 1,440p gaming and 1080p performance, respectively. AMD claims that the new GPUs offer 40 percent faster speeds than its previous RDNA GPS, as well as 43 percent less power consumption. These cards – the Radion 5000M lineup – didn’t make a huge splash in games, but were significant for Apple’s debut in the late 2019 MacBook Pro. (This was one of the main reasons The MacBook Pro was a 16-inch powerhouse.)

Underneath the hood, the RX6800M features 12GB of GDDR6 RAM as well as 40 computing units and ray accelerator features. It shares a 2.3GHz game clock speed with the 6700M, but that card has 36 compute units and 10GB of RAM. The entry-level 6600M, meanwhile, sports 28 compute units and 8GB of RAM RAM memory interfaces scale from 192-bit on the high-end card to 128-bit on the low-end. From the standpoint, AMD’s new hardware seems to be moving forward. The previous Radion 5000M cards were on top with 36 counting units and 8GB of RAM. (No wonder they never made it to many gaming laptops))

AMD

AMD claims that the Radion RX6800M has overtaken NVIDIA’s RTX3080 as one of AAAA’s major headlines. Murder Cred Valhalla And Resident ilville village. Normally I would take it with a huge grain of salt, but I also tested a 6800M equipped Asus RG Streaks G15 and I can confirm that the 3SP’s TimeSP Extreme has surpassed 3080 in Benmark. (We’ll have a full review of that machine soon)) Like its desktop siblings, though the Port Royal Writing Benchmark lags behind the NVIDIA’s hardware at 6800M. But hey, at least ray tracing is an option this time.

If you’ve ever planned a game with a battery, AMD says the 6800M is about 40 percent faster than the 3080. Resident il village. Clearly, unplugged gaming is an issue that most players try to avoid whenever possible, but it’s good to know that AMD at least thinks about it. It’s not unimaginable to want to play for a while on a long drive or flight without any power plugs nearby.

Now that has AMD Rapid Blackening Ryzen 5000 Mobile CPU And Powerful new GPU, it’s trying to entice customers (and PC makers) with its new AMD Advanced Framework. Similar to Intel’s Evo branding, it is a way for consumers to know it’s a gaming experience. In particular, AMD Advantage systems will feature the latest Region CPUs and Radion GPUs, displaying fast refresh rates above 144Hz, freeSync premium screens for Fears-free gaming, and fast NVM drives. Really, these are just a few of the many things you’ll find on any modern gaming PC, but AMD’s badge makes it easy to know the minimum you can expect from a new system.

Thanks to the company’s SmartShift and Smart Access technology, AMD-equipped systems should perform slightly faster than laptops with Raizen CPUs and NVIDIA GPUs. These features can intelligently balance power between AMD’s CPUs and GPUs and give CPUs direct access to RAM’s goblins in radion GPUs. The company claims that they can increase the speed by 11 percent Borderlands 3 And a 10 percent improvement Wolfenstein Young Blood.

Additionally, AMD has announced the FidelityFX Super Resolution, the latest in a suite of open source visual tweets. Similar to NVIDIA’s DLSS technology, scaling low resolution textures is one way to speed up high resolution gaming. In a demo of it Good fruit, Running at 4K with ray tracing, the FSR was able to speed up performance by 59 percent. AMD also offers four separate FSR modes, allowing you to optimize for speed or visual fidelity.

Give just how much DLSS is needed like a ray traced game ControlIt’s almost something AMD has to compete with. Even better, the company says the FSR will be compatible with NVIDIA hardware. (It is open source above all))

You can look for systems like Asus RG Streaks G15, HP Oman 16 and others in June. The FidelityFX Super Resolution, meanwhile, will launch on June 22nd.
