Most major audio improvements take some menu diving and feng shui.

Check your streaming settings

I can’t tell you how many friends and family I’ve checked their streaming settings, only to realize that the highest possible audio quality has not been set for them.

Enter your music streaming application’s settings menu and make sure you set the audio to high quality. Apple Music, Spotify and YouTube Music make it easy to find music quality settings. If you can’t manage your home Wi-Fi high bitrate stream, you can download your favorite playlists and albums.

Speaker position everything

The bus likes to hide in the corner, so try to place your speakers far away from them – ideally in the middle of the wall. If you’re wondering where to place these compared to your general audience position, keep this in mind: The ideal stereo image (large, wide, live-sounding audio) comes when your head forms a parallel triangle with two speakers. Also, try your best to make sure that the tweaks (small round drivers that hold higher notes above most speakers) are as close to ear-level as possible, because high-end sounds are most affected by direction.

Remove your furniture to make the sound default

Your own room is one of the most important aspects of a speaker’s sound. If you put an amazing speaker in a horrible room like a horrible singer using a gorgeous microphone, you will have horrible sounds.

Most homes have the same problem: these are somewhat reflective and somewhat too heavy-heavy. Flat walls and corners are criminal and large in size. The sound is a wave and if that wave comes back directly from a wall, it can interfere by creating a strange frequency dead zone in your room and reject other waves coming into it.
