An image of Dave Groll and Fu Fighters.

Dave Grahal. Haunted house. Yes. A Fu Fighters movie.
Pictures: Open Road Films

Say the name “Dave Grohl” and you think of the rock. Nirvana. Fu Fighters. Already a legend of all time and he is still making music. Along with his musical journey, Grohl himself has done more in film, including directing a documentary Sound City, And such movies appear Bill and Ted face music, Firm d In choosing destiny, And Muppets. But that was just him. This February, he’s not only starring in a feature film, he’s got his whole band to back him up.

Called film Studio 666 And in it, Grohl starred alongside his Fu Fighter bandmates Taylor Hawkins, Nate Mendel, Pat Smear, Chris Sheffield and Rami Jafi. Basis: The Fu Fighters decided to record their landmark 10th album in a terrifying old palace in San Fernando Valley, Los Angeles, and quickly realized that the place was a little spooky. It looks like this movie might be super fun. Here is the trailer.

As stated in the trailer, Studio 666 Based on a story by Grohl but directed by BJ McDonnell (Hatchet III) From a script by Jeff Buhler and Rebecca Hughes. And besides the Fu Fighters, yes you saw Whitney Cummings, Will Fort and Jeff Garlin among others there.

Which means it’s about to be the most delusional time of the year, as well. A real movie. Not something spoof for an awards show or an extended music video A real movie. And it had a full band, almost a throwback to the 1960s and 1970s when the world’s biggest bands – the Beatles, The Who, etc. – performed in real-world films as well as documentaries and concert films. It’s an idea we rarely see these days that seems almost fancy. And while the result will almost certainly be a film with six lead actors who can’t act, there is still something undoubtedly charming about the concept of the whole project. We hope it’s fun.

Studio 666 Will only premiere in theaters on February 25th.
