Last July, Hideo Kojima’s utterly bonkers animated philosophy movie and busywork simulator, Death stranding, Has announced a cut version of a manager with some extra goodies, which has been dropped for the PlayStation 5 In September. PC gamers will now be able to enjoy this version in the spring of 2022, almost two years after the base game was ported to Windows.
Death Standing Director’s Cut The PC will use Intel’s Xe Super Sampling to improve performance, graphical fidelity and frame rate. Ultra-wide monitors will also be supported, if this is your concern. And as Kozima mentioned above, the game will launch simultaneously on Epic Game Store and Steam. Like the PS5 version, Director’s Cut will come with the same add-ons with new weapons, missions, boss combat and a racing mode.
There is still no exact date outside the general “Spring 2022” window. If you are itching for a dark future where loneliness is only balanced by fatigue, perhaps see Sion Sono The Whispering Star While you wait. To my knowledge, Kozima has never claimed that the film had an impact on her play (which basically serves as an Amazon Flex courier around a replaceable, emotionless hero) but I wouldn’t be surprised if it did.
