DJI has released the Air 2S medium-sized drone

Just a month has passed since DJI Unveiling a new drone, And the company already has one more show. This time, it’s Air 2SIts the latest iteration Medium-sized camera drone. Note the absence of Mavic branding, indicating that we are seeing some more changes in how each level of the quadcopters provided by the companies creates the pitch.

It’s not clear whether the “S” branding here is an Apple-style upgrade to the previous model, but the Air 2S certainly looks like someone gave the previous model a light facelift. The design looks like an invisible bar with some uninterrupted lines and an extra pair of cameras avoiding front obstacles.

But what matters here is the camera. The Air2S offers a larger (1-inch) sensor that shoots 20-megapixel photos or 5.4K video at 30fps (or 4K at 60fps and 150Mbps). All of these are tough upgrades from last time where photos were 12-megapixels and video topped at 4K / 60 or 120 Mbps.

Other camera parks include 4X digital zoom, doubling the amount of Mavic Air 2 at 4x / 30fps. There is also the option of 6x zoom in 2.7K and 1080p / 60 modes. If you do not mind shooting at 1080/30, you can consume the zoom feature up to 8x. For videographers, the Air2S supports three color profiles: Normal (8-bit), D-Log (10-bit) or HLG (10-bit).

DJI

At 595g, the Air 2S weighs in heavier shades than its predecessor (570g) which may explain the slightly lower flight time from now on – there are other upgrades below 33 to 31 minutes, one of which we have already indicated. : Extra pair of barrier cameras.

The DJI claims that four interceptor sensors have been updated, enabling two new cameras to enable “binocular zooming” that the company claims can detect objects both at distance and at high speeds. There’s also the “O3” which is DJI’s fancy new name for Ozusink (its video transmission technology). Meaning the video connection should be more stable than any distance between these limits.

As usual, there are some tweets in built-in smart flight modes, including Spotlight 2.0, Activrak 4.0.0 and Point of Interest 3.0 – all of which are intended to give your shots a cinematic feel.

Even more interesting is the new “mastershot” feature which seems to have been teased An April Fool, But that seems to have been the creative tease in terms of similarity. Pre-programmed flight paths seem to combine with MasterShot intelligent automatic editing. A kind of fire and forget-me-not mode to create automatic edits from whatever you say.

The Air 2S The standard bundle is on sale today for 9 999 or the “Fly More” combo for $ 1,299 which includes three batteries, a charging dock, ND filter and a shoulder bag.
