In the third quarter of 2021, HarmonyOS will land on Nova 6, Nova 7, Nova 8, Mate 20 and Metpad products. Towards the end of the year, the operating system will land on V and S series smart screens, Mate 20X phones and M6 tablets.
Huawei will then update the 9Mate, 10, P20, P10 and Nova 5 phones with HarmonyOS in the first half of 2022. If you want previous access, you can apply through the Huawei app or in person if you are able to visit a store of company experience. In all, Huawei will remove about 100 existing products from Android and Harmony.
The move follows U.S. sanctions And Google From Android updates, forced to switch to open source version. The entity list is also banned against Huawei To bring Google apps and services to new phones.
Huawei says the HarmonyOS2 offers an upgraded connection. It includes a dragon and drop interface for paired devices, which probably makes it easier to move files between tablets and Windows PCs. When you’re watching a movie on your phone, it looks like a sneak peek at sending videos to a TV and audio on earbuds like Freebuds4.
On Wednesday, the company unveiled new hardware, all powered by HarmonyOS2 outside the gate. Along the way there are three Metapad tablets with Huawei M-Pencil support.
The 12.6-inch Metapad Pro has an OLED display and a 90 percent screen-to-body ratio. The iPad Pro option boasts a Huawei-designed Kirin 9000 processor, eight speakers, four microphones and three rear cameras along with a flight-of-flight 3D camera. The 8.7mm thick tablet starts at 4,999 yuan (about $ 783) for the 128GB version and will be available June 10th.
Using the 10.8-inch MetPad Pro and MetPad 11, instead of the Kirin processor Qualcomm chips. The smaller Pro tablet has a Snapdragon 870, four speakers and five microphones. For the 128GB model, it will be available starting June 3,799 Yuan (about 600 600). The MetPad 11 will come later and has four speakers and a microphone.
Huawei also announced the Watch 3 series. The smartwatch features health and fitness monitoring, including a crown button, 316L stainless steel body, car key, video calling and ESIM support.
The Watch 3 is said to deliver three days of battery life or up to 14 days of ultra-long battery life mode. According to the company, the Watch 3 Pro has a five-day battery life or an extended battery mode of 21 days. The Watch 3 starts at £ 350 / 2,599 Yuan (~ 400)) and the Watch 3 is priced at £ 500 / 3,299 Yuan (about $ 520). Pre-orders are open in a few regions and start operations from June 11th.
