Kirsty Gogan’s letter (July 28) about division in Dulwich emphasizes the tactics used by the front door for closing the road: misrepresents those whose views differ from yours and cites the opinion as a fact. The Dulwich Alliance is not a ‘car’, but has a traffic scheme that does not discriminate against elderly and disabled residents or people living on residential roads, which is now filled by displaced traffic. Traffic and pollution are possible in some affluent streets in Dulwich, but it is now much worse on less affluent surrounding roads, where children can no longer walk safely or cycle to school. It is unfair, unfair and unacceptable.
