IO of Oral-B The fancy smart electric toothbrush on the market has identified itself as the smartest and fancy. With a pressure sensor, OLED display and Smartphone coaching, iO Series 9 is, or was, the most luxurious way to clean your teeth. Today, however, the company has decided to expand the range of iO toothbrushes with an even higher-end flagship at the top and some more affordable models at the bottom.
The new flagship is iO10 with iOSense, which the company calls the “ultimate oral health trainer”, which eliminates one of the biggest problems with iO9. With existing models, the pressure warning light – which tells you if you’re putting too much pressure on your teeth – and the countdown timer is on the brush. This makes it very difficult to tell when your work is finished unless you look deeply at yourself in the mirror.
Meanwhile, the iO10 mimics that information in its new Bifier charging base, with a digital countdown timer, pressure alert and even a ring of light consistent with the six areas of our face. This means you don’t have to open your phone every time you brush to check that all your teeth are getting equal attention. Of course, this means that your charger always needs to be plugged into your bathroom, which can be a problem for some people.
There is no price for iO10, it is just an invitation Sign up for the waiting list Whenever this particular product is available for sale.
At the same time, the company is launching iO4 and iO5, a scale-down version of the iO model for different budget buyers. Both come with the same high-end rotating head as the smart pressure sensor and flagship. But the iO4 has only four brushing modes, and no digital display, while the iO5 has a fifth mode and access to live coaching via on-board AI features and apps. These models will be priced below $ 100, and will be available nationwide at some point in 2022.
