Since 2019, Engadget has SteelSeries Arctis 7 is one of the best gaming headsets you can buy. At the moment, it’s iconic but with a design that hasn’t changed much since 2016, it has recently begun to show its age. Fortunately, Steelseries has announced Arctis 7+ And Arctis 7P +.
The changes made by the company are modest, but they will be appreciated by the current Arctis 7 owners Most notably, SteelSeries replaced the subtle micro USB port you used to charge the headset with a more modern USB-C connection. Using the new port, it is possible to get three hours of uptime after 15 minutes of charging.
On that note, battery life is also improved. SteelSeries claims that you can get up to 30 hours of gameplay on a single charge, compared to the previous version you got about 24 hours. As for the difference between 7+ and 7P +, there aren’t many. You can buy the next one in both black and white whereas the previous one is only available in black. In addition, the 7P + includes support for 3D audio functionality for the PlayStation 4 and PS5. That said, you can use both headsets with any system or device other than the Xbox console.
Arctis 7+ and Arctis 7P + are available to buy from today Steelseries website. They will both give you back $ 170. That’s up from the ct 150 MSRP of the Arctis 7 and 7P, but what about the extra $ 20 when you no longer have to deal with micro USB?
