Seven policemen and three children have been buried in the property of the former policeman since he was arrested for the other two murders.
The bodies of seven women and three children have been found in the property of a former El Salvador police officer.
The country’s attorney general’s office said Hugo Osorio, 51, and Chavez Osorio, 51, were being investigated for sexual offenses and 13 counts of murder.
He was arrested Saturday for the murder of a woman and her adult daughter, the Associated Press reported.
The arrests came after neighbors in the western city of Chalchupa called police and heard a woman crying for help.
Officers found the bodies of a 57-year-old woman and her 26-year-old daughter at home with signs of sexual abuse in a pool of blood.
The investigation resulted in excavations at various places in the property. The bodies include a 7-year-old girl and two boys aged 2 and 9.
Police did not explain the 13 details of why the murder was investigated.
The attorney general’s office said on Twitter that several people appeared to have died about two years ago.
Seven more graves related to the property are still under investigation. At least 25 people are thought to be missing in the area.
Investigators say Chavez Osorio was fired from his job as a police officer in 2005 for sexual assault and spent five years in prison, investigators said.
Based on the information in the case, prosecutors issued arrest warrants for nine suspects who acted as accomplices in 13 murders, including the murder of eight women.
