Analog pockets have been delayed again. The $ 199 handheld console Game Boy, Game Gear, Neo Geo Pocket Color and Atari Lynx can play the game. It was supposed to be very recently , But backtracked towards the end of the year. Pre-orders will be sent “last” in December Announcement Analog posted Friday.
As with both previous delays, the agency is blaming this latest coronavirus epidemic and related supply chain problems. “Unfortunately, due to the new Covid restrictions with our assembly partners, our ability to deliver them within the agreed timeframe has been affected,” Analog said. “This has created a domino effect of delay beyond our control which would otherwise be a smooth process.”
Analog is fully refunding anyone who has pre-ordered the system and does not want to wait until December. In the same announcement, the company said it expects to release hands-on and reviews before the console comes out later this year. “We understand how frustrating this is,” the agency said. “It’s very frustrating for us too.”
