Evaluation Players are getting another hero to use in Riot’s free-to-play shooter. According to the character’s producer, John Gosci, Chambers plays the character of a “gentleman-killer”, a sentinel-class character who “holds a position under the bunker, and gets the frog.” He can do this through a skill and weapon set that includes a trap that scans for enemies, a heavy pistol and a sniper rifle that can knock out enemies with a perfectly placed shot. The chamber will be live in Evaluation 16 November with Patch 3.10.
Given that his abilities are centered around “extremely lethal, precision”, as Goswick says, they wanted his style to match. “A person like this will also take care of the more subtle things in life – starting with the cut of his vest, the color of the threading and how the shoes will blend the whole outfit.” If that detail speaks to you, the chamber may be an agent to try.
The patch that arrives is set for release a few weeks later Evaluation Episode 3, Act III Battlepass, which goes live on November 2nd and will be available for 10 weeks. It comes with five free and nine paid “marquee items” and the pack is priced at 1,000 Valent points, the game’s in-game currency. According to Sean Marino, associate art director at Riot, Battlepass is focusing on bringing some fall holiday vibe to the game. Given that Marino is meant to match Halloween with one of the items mentioned, it’s a bit annoying that it doesn’t turn up after the holidays. But hey, why limit Halloween to just one month?
