TikTok is testing a “repost” button on its app that allows users to quickly reshape a clip with their followers. The new feature, which the company described as a preliminary test, is not yet available to everyone, although it seems to be cropping up for several users over the past few days.

A TikTok spokesperson said in a statement, “Currently, we’re experimenting with a new way for people to share their enjoyable TikTok videos.” The feature appears as a yellow “repost” button, along with the app’s other sharing features. You can also add a short comment that will appear with the clip so your friends can see “why you reposted this video.”

Although TikTok users have long been known for constantly remixing and reshaping each other’s clips, the repost button is the first time the app has found something like a retweet – the ability to quickly reshare a video from your feed.
