The United States is taking additional steps to prevent China from claiming military power Quantum computing dominance. The Commerce Department has added eight technology makers to its list of entities to prevent them from supporting the Chinese military’s quantum computing efforts. Officials are concerned that companies could feed on “emerging” U.S. technology that could help Breaking encryption, Production ‘Uninterrupted’ encryption And the development of anti-stealth or anti-submarine systems.

Hierarchy Focuses on a mix of companies and researchers, including QuantumCTek and Hefei National Laboratory for Physical Sciences at Microscale. The United States has added three associates of Korad Technology Limited, a Chinese company, to the list since 2019, although it was not immediately clear if Quantum Computing was involved – the company was accused of supporting North Korea in addition to Iran’s military and space programs.

The larger entity list update includes 27 organizations and individuals, including 13 Pakistanis accused of supporting the country’s “unprotected” nuclear or ballistic missile program.

It is unlikely that China will stop its military use of quantum computing when the country needs more research and development of internal technology. Expanded blocklists limit China’s access to American processors and other devices that could slow things down. Consider it a stumbling block that gives the United States a better chance Taking or maintaining leadership.
