American comedian Bob Saget, who gained notoriety for starring in the sitcom Full House in the 1980s and 1990s, has died at the age of 65.
According to police, Saget was found unresponsive in his room at the Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes, on Sunday.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
A statement from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office on Twitter said there were “no signs of foul play or drug use in this case”, although a cause of death has yet to be determined.
Saget’s family said in a statement published Sunday in People magazine that “we are devastated to confirm that our beloved Bob passed away today”.
“He was everything to us and we want you to know how much he loved his fans, by acting live and making people from all walks of life laugh together.”
