The Atalante is Wandercraft’s second-generation exo with more advanced design and features than the original model. To manage it, it comes with a remote and a new app that allows a physiotherapist and patient to program fine-tuned movements and exercises. It uses two sets of removable batteries that allow for continuous use.

The new model is much smaller, more accessible and more comfortable for patients, thanks to the new hardware, compatibility and more intelligent software. It is now self-balancing, so it is easy to control for both the patient and the physiotherapist. Although it is not yet approved for use alone, Wondercraft showed me a video showing that it can maintain self-balancing, even when the killer is turned off. It also offers features that make it easy to enter and exit, along with the “Wonder Balance” feature which allows easy “verticalization” to help the patient stand.

The device automatically adapts to each patient’s morphology and creates adjustable dynamics, allowing for custom practice in the settings. The latest feature is “RealGait” (shown above) which allows physiological walking with adjustable speed. “CustomGait” allows you to change the speed, step length, and mass center, while “ActiveGait” allows the user to change the support effort from 0 to 100 percent. That feature also includes an “EarlyGait” setting for the first steps, including the new RealGait setting.

These features, as well as small changes, make Atalante more efficient.
